Randoms unauthorized charges deceptive company

Recent UNAUTHORIZED charge was made to our Visa card. While rearching this charge I discovered that our account information was given to this company by our credit card company... Fleet Credit Cards.

Fleet says that this company is an affiliate with their company by "offering customers services". The service we were "offered" was to sign up for their service with the option to cancel within 30 days (which we did) and regardless whether we continued to use the service we would receive a CD player FREE of charge in the mail. The CD player never showed up.

Today I spoke with both Fleet and MWI*Connections. Fleet would have nothing to do with my complaint because they are affiliated so I called MWI*Connections. The agent that took my call said they would refund BOTH charges ($79.95 and $89.95) that have taken place.

The inital one was never refunded upon cancelation and then she said we should have received paperwork that you had to fill out and return in order to get the CD player... One "small" piece of information that the sales person left out in their pitch.

Consumers beaware, no information is safe even with the Credit Card companies... We are all vulnerable and can be taken advantage of without warning. We failed to review our statement in the past so I advise... Review ALL charges and demand refunds for the charges as well as the interest that you have been charged by the credit card company.

I was told the refund would appear in 1-2 BILLING CYCLES which in itself is a scam... They never wait 1-2 cycles to charge your account. I also demanded a refund of the interest and was told to fax a copy of the bill to their Billing Department.

Hopefully I will get the refund that I have been promised and in the future, we will NOT accept anything else regardless of who offers their "services" to us!
