Approximately 5 years ago my husband and I purchased a 1,000.00 American Airlines gift card for our son so that at some point he could return to India to spend time with an orphanage. I booked his reservations with his gift card and our credit card. The following morning I was told that the gift card had been used by James Stone leaving from Nashvill, to St Thomas in Dec. We had to scratch the coating off to get the security code so there is no way anyone could use his card. I was told by AA that is was our fault and we would have to contact our local authorities which we did and the officer was amazed that AA would not honor our card just to keep a long time customer happy. We did file a report, but he said it would probably stay at the botton of their file because they deal with thousands of dollars problems. This has to be an inside job with AA and so far they are not willing to budge. The gift card number is (Personal Information Removed) and we spoke to Officer White at the National City Police Dept. We will greatly appreciate if you can help us solve this problem. Thanks Joan Sherwood
