FedEx didn't deliver, cashed my check, and won't reimburse me

I called for a pick up, they didn't show. I called back and the guy that came the next day had no idea what was happening, no papers, no envelope, didn't know how much I owed, etc. But I had taken notes and wrote a check. Every day I called to doublecheck that the envelope (with my overseas presidential vote) had left, but they just couldn't get the package to the US. And they had time. But they cashed my check. Now they say they didn't, that the local transport company cashed the check. Bernis Tranport says no they didn't. FedEx are a gang of dishonest clowns. If they had common sense, they would be ashamed.
