I responded to Craigslist ad for a vacation apartment rental in South Beach (Miami Beach). The poster of the ad emailed me that the unit was available, and asked to send a deposit via western union and fill out a rental agreement form. I filled out the form and sent the deposit. When I went to the apartment to check in later that day, I discovered that the address was fake. When I tried to contact the poster, he stopped responding to my emails. When I told him I filed a police report, he said he would refund my money but has not done so.
