I responded on an add to rent an apartment on craigslist. The rent was 570$/ month. Then the guy sent me an email saying I should pay the first month and a half in order for him to send me the keys and documents. I sent the money via Western Union it was 855$ on July 28th. Then the guy claims to have a dispute with his wife about not having asked for a deposit money, the argument between him and I goes on for 4 days until i naively fall for it and send him the deposit of 450$ also via Western Union on Monday August 1st 2011. This morning I call DHL to track the package and learn that there never was a package. I lost 1305$ in 5 days and feel very idiotic. I need to find this guy and take my money back. I really hope you can help me. I already filled a report with the Berkeley Police department, but I am not sure if there's anything they can do.
