Was just approached by 2 guys who had to sell a certain amount of magazines/books to win a trip to Italy. Looking back at it now, there were too many warning signs that it was a scam, but I was in a hurry and gave in to buy books for the local children's hospital. Just cancelled the check, planning to close/open new account to stay clear.
