Birthday gift delayed Dec 23, then incorrect address notice

I ordered my daughter's birthday gift, and it was shipped from Amazon with tracking. On Dec 23, the tracking read "delayed for mechanical issues," and then one minute later it read "incorrect address." I know my math, and you cannot get from Indianapolis to Louisville, KY, in one minute. Sorry, it does not work like that, unless you are Santa Claus. I still have not received these items. I have the tracking and everything. It has been a week with no update on the tracking since then, and no packages.
