My wife claims to have checked her credit score for "free" by clicking a link in an email from what ended up being a scam job posting. We had a charge on our bank statement on 9-21-12 for 59.95. I called the company and was told my subscription is cancelled and I will only get a refund of $45.95. It isn't until 12-23-12 that I noticed I got charged $29.95 each of the last two months and my $59.95 from 9-21-12 was not refunded. I call the company again and am told my account will be cancelled and I will only be refunded $59.90 because the $59.95 from 9-21-12 took place more than three months ago. I get transferred to a manager to potentially resolve this issue and seconds after she "transfers" me the call is dropped (from their end). I call back and get the same girl I talked to initially and she again tries transferring me to her manager and the call is lost again. I call again and this time a man answers who literally filibusterers me for 15 minutes. He mentions three times how nice and great of an employee the previous girl I talked to is. He talked about laws regarding privacy and how hes paid a lot to do his job so he and his employer can't get in legal trouble. That is just to name a few things this guy talked about that had nothing to do with anything I cared about. He did 95% of the talking and almost 100% of it was clear filibustering. The only meaningful thing he said was my subscription is cancelled and I will get a refund of $29.95 in 7-10 days which is half of what I was told from the first girl I talked to. From the initial "free" credit check to getting my call lost twice and filibustered I feel I am not the first person to get scammed by these professionals.
