Slumlords rent ripoff by property management Reseda

Mostly, this company's fault is hiring bad on site property managers to run their building. Beverly Lange was the manager and her business practices were questionable and albeit illegal according to landlord tenant law.

This company came off in the beginning to be very helpful and accommodating. That was just to get you into their apartment. After Bee infestation, constantly broken plumbing, and the roof flooding our bedroom, we had it! First of all, they never returned phone calls about problems or claimed that they didn't get our messages. You always had to bang on their door until they answered, because they tried to act like no one was home.

The only way to get results was to finally call the los angeles housing department and the health department because mold was accumulating in the carpet and on the walls and ceilings of the flooded bedroom. When they finally fixed the roof and cleaned the bedroom, there was a dispute over rent reduction. They threatened to evict and we said "bring it on." They never did.instead they sold the building to a new company. The new company knew nothing about a rent dispute. Three months later, we get a bill from collections for the diputed amount. They didn't even own the building anymore and they were trying to ruin my credit score out of spite.
