Target... Will not honor their own coupons! - nook

I received a coupon in the mail from Target, in my statement envelope. It was for 50% off any Nook HD or Nook Accessory. I went to the local Target to pick up a Nook for my Hubby for Christmas and the Manager would not HONOR the coupon! He said it had been printed by mistake and they would not give me the discount. I know they should honor their coupons.
Well I didn't get the Nook and I will NEVER go into another Target! Oh and he made sure he took the coupon from me, so I couldn't show it to anyone else.
