The Ladders
Renewal without notice

Internet & Web / Online Scam

The Ladders auto-renewed a charge on my credit card monthly without proper notification. They only stopped when I realized several months later that they were charging me $30 every month. The pricing on their web page is clearly deceptive; you choose a 1 month membership but in small print it does say they will auto-renew. Although this may be legal, it is certainly deceptive. There is no other communication from the company reminding you that you are being billed, no statement or anything. It's up to you to discover charges on your credit card and cancel with them. Their customer service person confirmed that I was not the only one who was misled but says they will not do any type of refund and no other compensation was offered. Basically, they charge you perpetually until you notify them.in my case it was 8 months but I could easily imagine there are people who may not notice for years. The Ladders
