Lies, deceptions, and accusations

I bought the Cat Condo Via Ebay. Pay Pal is an Ebay Company they offer Paypal Protection on Qualified listings up to $500. I purchased the Cat tree on ebay from Ling Yang. I received the item and it is cheap quality. This item has been stapled together and smells like adhesive it is also made of particle board and is very unstable. I worry about my pets safety as its 7' feet tall. I filed this complaint with paypal because the seller refused to address my issues. So I filed a protection claim through paypal thinking they could help. I bought through an Ebay auction and it had the protection offered. It normally takes them 7-14 days for a response it took them nearly 30. I was far from pleased.

This is a summary of what I received via email Please obtain a document from a dealer, appraiser, or another individual or organization that is qualified in the area of the item in question, which clearly identifies the item as you have stated. This document must be on letterhead that includes the name, address, and phone number of the individual, business, or organization so that PayPal may contact them if necessary.

Where am I supposed to find a Cat Tree Inspector or someone qualified to determine the instability. Also How am I supposed to fit this in my car to take it to someone.

I spoke to Kenny (CSR) and Megan a supervisor at Pay Pal. They were very unwilling to help. They would not accept any photos from me as I could possibly have the photos doctored. So basically they accused me of lying. They recommended I take the Cat condo to a vet to Have them appraise the item.

How is a veteriarian qualified personel. Paypal is a very deceptive company. You buy an item on ebay thinking your protected and you get ripped off by both the person who sold it to you and also the third party that you paid through.

I'm disgusted and I am not certain how this company stays in business. They do not honor what they say they protect. They refused the photos and I felt like a common criminal once I hung up with them. I was only requesting a partial refund. They left me out in the cold with no help.in my opinion Ebay and Paypal are not working in the customers best interest. They only work on the sure thing that drives them. MONEY! I have been a customer for four years and this is the treatment I received.
