Will not allow you to cancel service, disgraceful business practices ripoff

Dell computers should be ashamed of allowing such a immoral company to be an integral part of their otherwise respectful enterprise. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL SERVICE WITH THIS COMPANY.

I sent a signed letter and a fax canceling service. I was forced to do this after being placed on hold for a cumulative time of about 65 mins.

Mysteriously they never received the letter - and of course the fax did not have enough info on it... Although I got the specs for the letter directly from a so-called customer service rep.

When you call AOL and say "CANCELLATION", you are immediately put on hold for eternity. I NEVER DID GET A PERSON ON THE LINE -I was on hold for over 25 mins.
About 15 mins later I called back - and stated "BILLING" and got someone on the phone within 30 seconds.

After I advised what I wanted, I WAS THEN TRANSFERRED THROUGH 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE going by the first names of AUSTIN, RAY then EVAN all asking me the same questions over and over and trying to make friendly chat. Finally Evan told me that it looked like I owed for the current month after I confirmed my debit card# HE SUDDENLY STARTED SAYING HELLO... Hello. HELLO INTO THE PHONE AS IF HE COULD NOW NOT HEAR ME then I was disconnected.
This entire process took approximately 40 minutes.

I called back within a few minutes and was then transferred through TWO DIFFERENT people asking the same questions. They went by the first names of Priscilla and Robert. Robert would not accept the fact that i was cancelling and now suddenly i owed $55 instead of $27.. And offered another 3 months of free service. FOR GODDSAKES, DON'T THESE PEOPLE HAVE ANY PRIDE!!! Are they really this money hungry that they have to go through all of these mechanations to keep people on service. It's horrendous. I will now be forced to cancel by debit card because I DO NOT TRUST THEM AT ALL. I am also going to send and fax approximately 10-20 faxes and letters canceling service. I am SURE they will receive one. It must be possible to cancel service with this idiotic company.
