So during the week I pay my cable bill and the following day I come home to my service off. I call TWC, the girl puts me on hold and a few minutes later a man picks up. I said what happened to the girl? He said this is the LOST PREVENTION department. I said what? What's going on? The guy wouldn't speak to me because I am not on the account. So I call my husband, so he can call them and find out what is going on. He call"s and the guy tell my husband you owe a bill from

06 (5yrs later, with no phone call or letter in the mail in regards to what he is saying. The guy said it's a new department TWC set up.
My husband to the guy I will call you back in a few minutes so I could have my wife on the phone as well. My husband calls me we call the guy and he already left. We spoke with a nice women (how turned or service on) when I told her how do you close someone's cable w/o a phone call or a letter in the mail? The women said she will note it in the computer to the guy my husband spoke with the first time could call us tomorrow. So the next morning I get a call on my phone from this guy and again he wont speak to me.
So yesterday (11/11) I get up and put the TV on for my son and the service was shut off once again.

I call TWC's "new department" and the guy JOHN I got did not care about what I was telling me he just wanted me to pay the bill that he says I owe from five years ago.
I tell JOHN how do I know I owe this bill from five years ago? I should be believe you because this is what your telling me! I said I closed the account from where I lived and opened a new one to the new place I moved. Now for you to open a new account somewhere else aren't you suppose to pay it off first before the set you up with a new account? He said yes. So JOHN why are you telling me I owe this money if I was able to open a new one not once put twice because I moved twice. I also said that old account you are referring to has nothing to do with this account. He said yes it does. Now how is that if that one was closed five years ago.
I said John where was the phone call or even a letter stated that? He said did you leave a forwarding address? I said I've been with TWC for 11 years, so you have my address!
He just kept asking how much do you want to pay? You don't need to pay the whole 215.00 now, we can make a payment plan. I told him no I'm not paying because you say this w/o showing me documents.
You want me to pay something I may have already paid!!!

My husband had to call and speak with the first guy from 2 nights ago. To tell him you can't shut someones service off w/o a call or a letter and giving that person time to find their records.

As of Monday I will be writing to consumer affairs, the governor and the mayor, in regards to what TWC is doing to people.
