AOL America Online
Shut down of our AOL Service with NO Explanation Still at this date in August

Went to use our AOL account only to find it had been closed without any warning or information as to why. We've had AOL for years with no problems. We contacted Customer Service; were told that someone would call us the next day between 1 and 5 pm. This call never came. We called again: were apologized to for the call that was not made but once again were told that someone would call us the next day. We NEVER got that call either. My husband called Tech Support, Customer Service, any numbers listed. We were told our account had been forwarded to another department and they did not even have any record of our account. They've been deducting money monthly for service for years and we've been totally happy with AOL. My husband contacted by phone, corporate office of AOL, spoke to a woman who could not find our account information either. He then called back and spoke as well as wrote with Certified Mail to AOL Offices but no one can give us any informatiion as to why our service was discontinued as of this date 3 months after shutting our service down. Is this any way to run a business. We've never been contacted back by mail or phone by anyone. All contact has been from us to AOL nothing back from them even when they said they would. Is this America or What? People can take our money but give no explanation or even a chance for us to respond to whatever was supposed to have happened to cause this shutdown of our service.

Is AOL so large that it's customers mean nothing to them? How many other complaints have been received from them concerning matters such as this?
