SCAM - DO NOT USE FREE TRIAL - billing does not stop

Internet & Web

I signed up for their 14 day free trial in January while looking for a new news server service. A couple of days later I decided on a different company and canceled the trial.

I missed their billings on my CC statements until June when I realized they had been billing me monthly since January. Luckily I had archived the signup email and still had the account information because as other complaints here document, unless you have this information the only way to stop their billing is to cancel your credit card.

They have done everything they can to attempt to hide their billings from dupes who try their trial. The fine print of their user agreement states that they do not email billing confirmations like virtually every other subscription service does. They only post the billing in your account on their site which you wouldn't check if you assumed you canceled the service. Unless you happen to catch their billing on your credit card statement you have no indication they are billing you.

I again canceled the account on June 24 through their webform and received a confirmation email for the cancellation. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this time the billing will be canceled.

I complained to them and requested a refund as their logs will show the service was never used. They refused.
