Dell not well

I asked the salesman what the least expensive tower with office suite on it would cost and also told the person I wanted to be able to do dsl and dial-up on the computer. The salesman said I would get MSWorks and I confirmed that it would have Word, Access on it and I was told "yes". What I received a was a dented computer with no modem and a Word program that was 10 years old!

While they said they would replace the computer because of the dent, they wouldn't save money by just sending me the Word and other programs they said they would in a compensation trade! I spent 1.5 to 2 hours being transferred 7 times to no avail. To replace the computer would cost me 5 - 8 hours of loading new software on it, which is too much time.

I also bought $200 of an extended 3 warranty, only to be told (in a 10 minute sales pitch) that I should pay more to get personal technical service when all I wanted to do was get help to hook up the 3 leads from the stereo system to the computer. Because it would take too much time and effort to send this back, I'm stuck with it:- (
