Refund Denied Despite UPS Tracking Code in Fraud Dispute

PayPal will only reimburse money in a conflict resolution if you provide tracking information. However, providing a UPS tracking information code proves not to be enough for them, as they claim they cannot make out the name of the seller.

PayPal does not bother to ask the seller or comment on the fraud the seller obviously committed (this can be followed on paypal.com).

It also took PayPal more than a month to look through their own communication logs to find out that the seller had already confirmed the reception of the item in question.

Their behavior is strictly to protect the seller. There is no protection for the buyer.

Therefore, my recommendation is to refrain from seeing PayPal as a safe harbor. It is not. It is just a total waste and a ripoff. Do not use this service as a safeguard for transactions. You will not get your money back, even if you do exactly as they tell you.
