Has frozen my account San Jose California

After being an eBay and PayPal "buying" user for several years, I finally decided to try selling a few goods online. Like most internet sellers, PayPal seemed like a very valuable tool and I offered it to my buyers. Well, the first string of auction sales closed and the balance in my PayPal account immediately swelled to over $12,000. Almost immediately, I received the dreaded email from PayPal that my account had been frozen and they requested I provide them with umpteen documents either via fax or online. Some of the documents were easy to provide (such as photo ID, credit cards, bank account, etc.,), but some were not so easy... They requested supplier information and receipts, as well as proof of membership affiliations.
I am just a small guy cleaning out my basement, where am I going to come up with receipts from my "suppliers"..? I also happen to be not affiliated with any group, so I am not a "member" of any organization. So that was effectively the end of my appeal. PayPal has frozen my $12,000 and tell me I must wait the obligatory 180 days. Has anybody waited the 180 days, and did they get their money back at the end of it..? Can anyone suggest where I can turn for help..? I have read most of the blogs on this subject and everyone is happy to tell me what I did wrong, but is there any way to fix this and get my money back..?
