Program hides in other files and resets default connection Internet

Internet & Web

I like others tried AOL and was disgusted with their service. I uninstalled the program but still had AOL trying to connect at any time on its own.

I decided to start looking through my hard drive and what a surprise I had when I found peices of AOL in different programs. I had to reset all my defaults to the settings I wanted in these programs as well as my default internet connection.

I am running Windows XP and I asked someone who was running an older version of Windows if they had the same problem and I found that they did so this is not just a problem with my computer but many.

The AOL techs will try to claim that you are at fault for not knowing about this but I feel that they do not try to explain to anyone what their progam will load into or what it will change.

I suggets if you have a problem with AOL taking over your computer that you call your computer companies tech support and ask them where to look and what to delete.
