Miscellaneous

I called norton when i was having a problem getting an internet connection on my computer. I have their protection and as part of their protection they are supposed to help customers having problems. I had also called my internet provider about the problem and they detected it was a problem with my norton program. I was informed by a technician if i allowed them to take over my computer they would fix the problem and i would once again be able to use my computer. I allowed them to take over my computer and sat and watched as they deleted drivers and who knows what else, the next thing i got was a message that windows would not open because of damage to my computer. I could not get to my desktop or do anything on my computer. I called norton to inform them and they told me i had to have my computer fixed and i was responsible to pay to have that done. I called someone to get pricing to fix my computer and was told it would cost me between 150 and 200 to have my computer fixed. Someone from norton called me to tell me to buy new programs and have them installed on my computer. I do not feel i should have to foot the bill for damages done to my computer by nortons technicians. This is a family computer used by myself and my children for their schoolwork and work projects. I do not have the money to pay to have this computer fixed, buy new programs or buy a new computer. I feel norton is responsible and should fix or replace my computer at their expense.
