$11.98 fradulent charge in checking account Area Code Is Based Out Of California

Very strange fraudulent charges were made in my checking account, each for amounts of $13 or less. I am in the process of getting these charges removed via my bank. Pending "processing activities" were processing for several days until the funds were removed. Company does not exist - phone # is bogus, email is nonresponsive.
