CTX in: Notebook Computers are Junk

I bought a CTX EzBook notebook computer about two years ago. The hinges have broken so that it is almost impossible to open and close. Their "customer service" ignored my fax and first email. Only because my 2nd email stated that my next communication would be to the CA and FL consumer affairs offices of the Attorney General did I get a response — a one line response that it will cost me more than $300 to get the hinges fixed! I then sent another email asking about them sending me the parts to get it fixed myself. They have never responded.

I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem. A class action suit for defective design might get their attention.
