Mr. Riggs,

I purchased a E-Machine T-3406 from Best Buy last November and its been a great machine except
For two power supplies going bad. The first power supply upon booting up the computer blew up. And I mean it was quite a show, heavy sparks, smoke, etc. I dove for my APC battery ups system to shut all power off to the system. Contacted Emachine customer support (case# EPR020604N0040) on Feb. 14-06 and they sent me a replacement within a couple of days.

Approx. Two weeks later (3-1-06, Case# EPR030601010) the new power supply died, though not as quite as dramatic as the one before, this time I was only surfing the net, not multi tasking. The only modifications that I have done to this unit is to add more memory (512mb).

Again contacting your company they sent me another identical power supply built by BesTec company.
After witnessing two of the same power supplies blowing up I purchased a Dynex 350 watt power supply at Best Buy for $55.24. Enclosed are pictures of the two defective power supplies with the covers removed. On back of photos are descriptions of each unit. Also a copy of the receipt for the new power supply.

What Im asking for is a refund of the power supply to keep a piece of mind using this computer. If you wish Ill send back all of the power supplies including the third that was never installed. Your company should address the problem with these power supplies before someone has much serious problem like losing their life or having their home burned or destroyed.
Thanks for your help in this matter.

Sent certifed mail-no answer at all.
Gotta admit after installing a better power supply this machine works quite well!
