Sega Dreamcast bought on eBay arrived broken, dispute lost

I purchased a Sega Dreamcast from an individual on eBay and paid through eBay's entity.

The listing clearly stated that the item was working. When it arrived, the console did not work, and the controllers sounded like there were parts broken inside. All in all, this was "junk."

I promptly asked for a refund, to no avail. I went through eBay and PayPal with the complaint through "Dispute Resolution."

The judgment was for the seller, who was in this instance dead wrong in selling the item as a working item. Again, if he had packaged it properly, maybe then it might have worked.
