Ripoff Lied to by Sales Rep about 0% Financing

In January of this year I applied and was approved for a Dell Preferred Account. I was shopping for flat-panel televisions and I found one I was interested in. I called Dell Customer Service to ask a few questions about the product, with no intentions on making a purchase at that moment. I spoke with ASP Flordeliza Baylon (who was barely understandable, seeing as how their customer service is outsourced to India). After asking her a few simple questions about the TV, and after telling her I had no intent to purchase at this time, she mentioned that this particular TV has 0% financing until 2008. I thought that was a pretty good deal so I decided to go ahead with the purchase. Now keep in mind, while I am talking to her she has all of my Dell Preferred Account information sitting right in front of her. Before the transaction was final, I reconfirmed that I would be eligible for the 0% financing, to which, again, she said yes.

Well, a few weeks later I get my first statement, where it shows that I am paying 29.9%!! I thought for sure this was a mistake, so I called Dell Financial Services. They informed me that it was not a mistake and said that there was nothing they could do. Well obviously something isn't right. I called back and talked to THIRTEEN different reps from both Dell Financial Servies and Dell Customer Support, all of whom said (in more or less words) "sorry about your luck."

My sales rep knew that I would not have purchased that TV if she wouldn't have offered me the 0%, knowing full well that I would not get it. I have 2 credit cards with 0% interest. If I would have known I could have just charged it to one of those, why in the world would I pay 29.9?

The last rep I talked to said I could pay off the entire balance with my credit card, but I would still have to pay the interest charges. This is absoltely unbelievable. I'm being screwed out of my money so some bitch in India can hit her quota and buy a new pair of shoes.

I did a full background check on Michael Dell and have his home address and phone number, and am willing to use them if I have to. I will not be treated like this.
