Damaged my hair and never returned my calls about it!

I'm not even sure if this company is still in business, but since I found this website, if they are, I want others to BEWARE if you like your hair!

I had gone to this place before to get services done, perms, manicures, pedicures, massages. I was always happy. When I called to make an appointment to have a stylist (recommended by a friend) to have my hair colored I was told that they weren't available but they gave me an appointment with a man named John.

John was a nice enough guy. I told him EXACTLY what I wanted. I wanted to cover the little bit of grey hair I had, NOT change the color because I liked my naturally sandy light brown hair. He suggested some "subtle reddish highlights" that would make me look like Nicole Kidman. Well, I don't even remotely look like her and I didn't want to so I told him again, that I wanted something as close to my natural color as I could get. My hair was in excellent condition and hadn't been recently permed.

It took HOURS to color my hair. First they put some paste like stuff on my hair and let it sit for at least 45 minutes. I had never had permanent color in my hair so I had no idea how long it would take. When they were applying the color it was a dark brown color but I had heard that the color doesn't represent the final color.

Well, they finally got around to rinsing it out, never letting me look at the mirror. John even showed the "finished product" to the salon owner, who was doing someone elses hair, and he had no comment. I thought that odd. Well, when I was allowed to look in the mirror, needless to say it was a tragedy. My once sandy light brown hair was now Raggedy Ann Red. Because it was closing time and I was too intimidated by the color to say anything, I paid and left.

The next day was a Saturday, and our annual family christmas celebration at my parents, and I had to go to their house, with almost all my relatives present, with that RED hair. I was so embarrassed that the following day my normal sylist that cuts my hair offered to help me (at Regis Salon in Annapolis, bless them!)

They bleached the color out of my hair twice, only to find out that the Lords & Ladies had used a henna based agent on my hair that left a red "halo" around the roots from John MASHING the color in to my head. They re-colored my hair to a more natural shade, but the red halo remained.

I paid close to $200 to get the color removed and made copies of the receipt and wrote a letter to the owner of Lords & Ladies, and followed up twice after the original letter. I never got a phone call, a letter or a refund. I looked up their website and found out that "John" was listed as a barber, not a colorist. So they allowed a person that as not qualified to color hair and to experiment on me. I can tell you that Nicole Kidman NEVER had hair that color in her life! And I never will again!

So, IF for some reason they're still in business, DON'T let them color your hair unless they can produce appropriate training certificates!
