Ripoff of recieving money when not satisfied with service

Affordable Health solicited me over the phone. They promised medical savings of 40-60% for a one time fee of $200 and a monthly fee of $100 there after. They told me I had 30 days to try it out and then I could cancel.

After I signed up I told my husband about it, and he said it was too good to be true and to call back and cancel immediately.

I did so, and they told me the order was already being processed and I would have to wait 2 weeks for my packet to come in the mail, which I could call back for a refund.
I waited the 2 weeks and called them as soon as the packet arrived. They told me to send a certified letter along with the packet saying I want a refund. I did exactly what they told me. I sent it certified and I recieved the confirmation card back signed by them that they recieved my letter. I waited a week, but no reply back. I called them and by that time they debited my checking account again for an additional $100. They said they never recieved my letter. I got the run around for a few days, they would never call back or put me on hold for several times and long periods.

Finally, I sent them a demand letter and this time I insured the letter, expecting a phone call and a refund. I called them and they told me there would be no refund.
The strange thing about this is both times I've sent letters to this company, the letters couldn't be found in the post office records when you track them. It makes me wonder if someone in the post office is in on it too? How can both letters not be scanned?
