Health & Medicine

I decided to try Tri State Urologic Services Inc because they were close to my home. When I made the appoinment and filled out the paperwork I explained that I only wanted services that were covered under my insurance. The lady agreed and told me that it would all be covered and there was nothing to be concerned about. When I showed up for my appointment, I got a doctor who had something else going on and spent very little time in the consult probably less than ten minutes. He ordered a test that i objected to only because I rescently had the same test performed. The doctor insisted that he had to have his test and ordered it. The following week when I called for the results I was told that the WRONG test was performed and I had to resubmit for the correct test. I lacked confidence in the clinic and decided to not make any more appointments. The clinic called me a week later to tell me the test results.

I was billed about $500 for these two visits that are not covered by my insurance. It has been almost a year and I am still paying off those balances. I would have never agreed to the test or the clinic had I known it was not covered. Calls to their office at the time I orginally complained fell on deaf ears.
