Refuses to live up to terms of it's own contract

My daughter signed up for Professional Fitness through Gold's Gym in Holladay, Utah. The contract she signed stated very clearly that she could cancel for medical reasons. Unfortunately the fitness regimen they put her through made her asthma worse and after consulting with her doctor was told that she would be physically unable to continue and tried to cancel her contrat. Numerous calls to the company only get you to voice mails of some person named Ryan who never contacts you. One day we faxed 5 times the letter from the doctor along with a letter stating that we would like this canceled only to be told they never received any of these faxes. We have mailed twice — registered mail — a check, a letter with the specific wording requested from the doctor, and a letter from us only to have them "Lose" them all — twice. They are either lying or incompetent. Neither of which speaks well for this company. We have contacted them numerous times spoken with 2 different ladies there and also filed a report with the BBB (who is ineffectual) they stated if we would send in a check and a letter again they would cancel (hence the 2nd registered mail). Now a lady by the name of Tiffany has decided she is a physician and states that my daughter can perform these exercises and informed my daughter she would not be threatened when she stated that she would have to get a lawyer, which we have now done.

Never, ever sign up with these people. This company is a fraud!!!
