In Collections With UA and are RUINING MY CREDIT

I was employed with United American Ins for just about 1 year and for that year the economy was up and down and the retention of clients was horrible but as you take an advance commission you also get a chargeback, well aparently i am in collections for all those "chargebacks" that i got even months after my appt was cancelled with the company. I have a collections agengy calling me everyday harrassing me about this that UA wants $500 up front and then $212 each month until the debit is payed off and is not threatening to put it on my personal credit if i dont establish a payment plan.

I dont have much money but the lowest they will take is the $500 down and $212 a month. WHAT DO I DO! I dont feel that i have to pay anything as i was misstated by the management of this company and was never given a contract or anything... What are they going to collect the chargebacks from every employee that went through there... Thats insane MUST BE THOUSANDS of people in and out that they are sending into collections.

Its crazy how a company that we busted our butts for would put us into collections just because someone cant afford the insurance anymore... I am lost at what to do... All i can say is dont work for united american they are liars and horrible people... And the company will ruin your credit if you dont pay your thousands of dollars in chargebacks that you had no control over in the first place... Anyways if anyone has any comments on how i should handle the collections please help as they are going to ruin my credit on July 9th... Thanks
