Countertop installation delay stretching to 5-7 weeks total

I had cabinets installed and needed new countertops. I decided on Home Depot over Marble.com because of the convenience of their credit card. Two designers told me that from the time I purchased the countertops to the time they would be installed would be 2-3 weeks. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow, and still nobody has been out for even the measurements. Now I am looking at a total time of 5-7 weeks!

This is a huge inconvenience, with cardboard countertops and half a sink while waiting for them. If I had been told this beforehand, I would have definitely gone with Marble.com, which installs in 1 week. After I called to complain, they told me they have to wait for other orders in the area. Unbelievable. Never again, and I would not recommend the installation to anybody!
