T-Mobile
Ripoff Beware using text messaging

Electronics and household app.

When I got my first T-Mobile bill, I nearly died. They'd charged me for every single instant message I'd sent from my computer using AOL Instant Messenger. They never told me not to use the same user ID on my phone that I used online. Even though my phone was turned off, I was charged for any message sent from my computer. I use my Instant Messenger a lot. They did credit the original charges, but told me they would continue to charge me if I didn't change the user id. Couldn't change the one on the phone, so I had to change the one on the computer—lots of hassle notifying every one.

Got fast responses to my complaints, but most of the time the responses had nothing to do with my question.

Still ticks me off to think they can get away with charging me for using a service that's free on my computer.
