Babies R Us return policy is fraudulent

I registered for Babies R Us for my first child. When registering, my husband and I asked quite a few questions and one was the return policy on gift registry items. I was informed and reassured by the manager that they would take any item back from my registry and not to worry about it. The manager also encouraged us to register for more and if the item was needed later, to exchange for other items.

We ended up with some duplicate items and also with items we didn't need and when I went to Babies R Us to return the items which I had gift receipts, I was denied the return as I had reached the limit. The amount was a little over $56 and I was stopped!!?? I asked the associate what the policy was and she didn't know. An assistant manager was asked to help and she also didn't know the policy and that all I could do was to call Babies R Us Corporate. I called Corporate and the associate (Rissa) that took my call also did not know the policy. I am disappointed and frustrated that Babies R Us associates don't know their return / exchange policy for gift registry and that they LIED to get us to register for additional items.

I would NOT recommend any parent to be to register with Babies R Us as they are fraudulent on their registry policy
