I found repair tv in-home service on Internet - service tech called within 1 hour and arrived at my door - took apart the back of TV and said that I had had a power surge causing the problem that I had encountered - said I needed a chip and/or a motherboard to repair the problem and also that I needed to purchase a new surge protector as well. He quoted me $248 for the total repair. Said he would call the TV manufacturer to secure part[s] and would call me that evening - asked me for $75 fee [house call] and was never heard from again — The check I wrote was cashed within 1 hour of tech leaving my address. I attempted to reach tech for 7 to 10 days by phone and also e/mail. Had to resolve going to a reputable TV repair shop to correct my problem to the tune of $210
