On December 24th I activated three cel phones I received from Verizon which I purchased as Christmas presents from Verizon for my family. These were on a contract I was renewing after having signing up with Verizon 2 years before that. I activated the phones 12/24. One of the phone was not working properly. I contacted them and they instructed me to mail the phone back. I mailed the phone back and thet wsent a replacement with a large scratch on the touch pad. I called them and they claim that their "policy" is to replace the phone with a refurbished one. As this was supposed to be a Christmas present for my wife it was disturbing. I complained to a supervisor and they agreed to send me a new phone. They never credited me for the time we had no use of the phone and extended the contract out 2 additional month. Later I suspended one of the other lines and they said I had to continue to pay it or incurr a $175.00 fee. After paying for months I once fell behond and they temporarily disconnected me. I paid the bill and they charged $15.00 per line even on the one I had not used ion months to reconnect. Calling there is never simple. If you ask for a supervisor the hold times are more 20 mintes.
