Military discount - no military discount

I am a disabled veteran and my wife is my caregiver. I have always had her use my military card to get the discount at many places. Here at Home Depot it has been presented by my wife more than 50 times in the past 10 yrs. All of a sudden they tell her they will not accept this unless I am present to use it myself. I find this such an insult to myself as a veteran that not only protected these people but put my life on the line for many others. I have no way of getting around in their store as it is not handicap accessible and I can not stand for any length of time and have a bad back so riding makes it very painfull. I feel this store has violated me as a veteran and insulted my wife too. They owe her and myself an apology and I feel they need to change their so called policy that seems to just recently have been enforced. I hope this brings this store to their senses and they do something about the management. Thanks for listening. Howard Gibbs jr.
