Ripoff, customer svc misled, then wouldn't adjust bill for erro

Some months back, due to a job crisis, I called customer service at Liberty Wireless, Inphonic, to alert them of my difficulty to pay the monthly rate and asked for any help or suggestions with the matter until I got back on my feet in a couple of months.

The rep told me no problem, we can suspend your service until you can call us to turn it back on. It was not explained to me that the monthly contract payment would continue regardless of my service being off, late fees would be applied and my service cancelled due to nonpayment with a $150 breach of contract fee added.

I discovered this when I called to tell them I was soon to be ready to reinstate service. The rep I got told me the $150 could be dropped but I'd be charged $60 to reinstate, $25 for a new number, plus late fees and past due charges. I either had racked up $297.40 cancelled or $207.40 to reinstate! Alot of good suspending service did me! Telling a floor supervisor that none of this was explained to me and therefore I wanted the late fees and the new # charge dropped was denied, and she told me they're not allowed to do those things. I was given the managements address to write to them and complain.

So, not only do I find that satisfaction of the customer means nothing to them, the whole time I used their service I had to put up with an older phone they'd repainted that seldom could pick up a clear signal, never inside my home. I understood when I got the service it would be a recyled phone, but I expected it to work.

I don't want to deal with a company that only wants my money and doesn't care one bit about my satisfaction with their service.

Now I have to pay the bill and find other service.
