Oh my god, someone finally understood. I read your "top biller" as Liberty Wireless. I was in tears from Monday through Thursday every week for 3 months, as this company deceptively changed their practices so that they did not reflect anything their contract conveyed, nor what they claimed from the month before. I finally cancelled my service, as it would take someone a full time job to straighten out the mess they created.

Their contract states several things, such as that "when your balance reached less than 10 minutes, you will be notified by text message". If you replenished, at that point, there was never another notification. Sometimes, I would never receive this message. Whether this was a malfuncion of my phone or not, I don't know, but I continually complained that I would only be notified when they would collect on my account, by text message.

This I got used to, but, after the next several months, I would get this message, then, to find that I had been billed for the next 3 successive 10 minute increments that they billed me prior to collecting the monthly amounts. I would only leave enough money in my account to cover this, and low and behold, I would be charged excessive overdraft fees, for EACH TIME (sorry for the caps) I did not know that I was below the monthy 10 minute minimum.

Another example of their negligence. When the phone service still neglected to notify you, and you did try to rectify on their "customer service" line, (which I still think was just an hour long recording that you just waited for) you could never get through.

At times, they would discontinue the service, and each time you tried to call in and replenish, they would charge you for each time you dialed, usually during the day time, when you need it the most. When questioned about this, they just said we, as consumers must inherently know this.

One day, their service was out and I tried to credit my account to continue my service, I racked up over $15 in fees, as they did not register the fact that my card had been credited, and said their service was out. I continued to call in. Finally, when I questioned them about this, they said that I should have known not to call in so many times and that I was at fault. I had taken the day off to buy a car, and made it virtually impossible to do this task, by then, withoug borrowing a cell phone and another car. How embarrassing.

Time and time again I was overcharged these charges when my service went out, as they would charge you at the normal billing rate. One month, I incurred over $50 in charges, plus $54 in bank service charges. I was livid.

Any assistance you can offer in settling the side with this company would be appreciated. I see on their website, that they are now owned by Sprint. I have an AT&T phone, now, which notifies me at the $7 level and $5 limit level, as the Liberty Wireless contract claims they have a notification level set in, as well. They are a bunch of liars, as every one you talk to has their own idea about how to rip you off. They must hold meetings and train their employees on this level.
