Horrific Service, Scam Billing

I am so furious with DirectTV that I can hardly type.

I signed up for DirectTV as a new customer and then per DirectTV's instruction, called Verizon to sign up for their Triple Bundle (where I would be billed for DirectTV through Verizon).
When the installation man came out he asked if we wanted another receiver for a second TV—I said, "well, sure." He told me that I would have a new account number and would have to re-apply for the rebate. Let me state that my only "mistake" (which has no bearing on the actual issue at hand) was that I did not re-apply for the rebate immediately.
Suddenly I receive a bill for FULL PRICE DirectTV service. I call to ask why this is and was told that my Verizon Bundle is VOID because I needed to call them with my new DirectTV account number. Also, apparently with the new number my previous "discount package" with DirectTV had been CANCELLED and apprently "re-set" with their regular rates.
I replied, "NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THIS. However, I would be happy to do so and would appreciate if you would please credit my account accordingly."
Well, I may have asked for the moon! Absolutely not!"Oh, and by the way, a second full price bill is on its way to you."
I asked to speak with a supervisor. 20 full minutes on hold. I am incredibly irritated. I explained my situation calmly, identifying that THEIR REP had failed to tell me that my package had been RE-SET with regular rates WITHOUT Verizon. He said there was nothing he could do. We went around in circles for at least ten minutes. I became angry and asked if I could speak with someone above him.
He hung up on me.

GREAT way to treat a brand new customer! I'll be canceling and will never, ever give them my service again.
