Selling AKAI TV with no replacemnet parts available

I purchased a AKAI 27" Wide-Screen LCD TV Model LCT2785TA, on 7Jan07 for $700.00. The unit lasted till April 09 at which time the Power Supply stopped working. I took it to my local TV repair shop, they found the power supply module to be faulity. They tried contacting AKAI, to no avail. They searched around to find parts but found that parts were not available for this unit... I contacted the local Radio Shack store where I purchased it to get parts or a place that had parts for it. They told me the place where they send them do not service anything bigger the 26"... I find myself at a loss, no resources to contact and no parts available, and out $700.00. Were do I go from here?
