Purchased a Quick Ship notebook, still no resolution after 7 phone calls

Electronics and household app.

I ordered a HP Pavilion dv6-1030 computer on www.HP.com on Apr. 7th. The item was listed under Quick Ship, that it would ship within 24 hours. This was perfect for me as I wanted it quickly for a birthday gift. A week has passed though and the item still hasn't shipped. Though I've called HP six times over the past week I can't find out what is going on with my order, only to be told by a few representatives that it has to go through fraud verifications.

After receiving an email instructing me to call in to verify my information, I called on Easter Sunday and was told by the representative that she didn't know why I was calling as my order was still pending verification. I was then escalated to a supervisor who said the department I needed to speak with was closed on Easter. He assured me that I would receive a return phone call the next day.

However after having not received a return call, I called again on Apr. 13th and was told by Wolfgang in the Customer Support Division that he couldn't help me. I asked for his extension or supervisor's information and he refused to give it to me. I called back again and finally reached his supervisor, Anthony Oguin at ext. 13373, who also stated he couldn't help me because the Analyst Team was behind in the orders and there was nothing he could do. I became frustrated and asked how we could escalate this matter and he hung up on me.

Now after seven phone calls to HP I still have no clue as to what is going on with my order. I feel that I've been mislead by HP with the Quick Ship promotion and their customer service needs a major overhaul. I will certainly never buy from Hewlett Packard again, and I will inform everyone I know to look elsewhere for their pc purchases as well.
