Prepaid Ripoff

Well, last month I bought a brand new Xbox 360, along with a 3 month prepaid Xbox Live card, and applied it to my account. Prior to this, I had Xbox Live from October to December of last year.

Today I logged in to find out that my account was suspended because they couldn't charge my credit card. Problem is, why are they charging my credit card, I have a prepaid account? So, I called tech support. Basically, after my original 3 moths expired (Oct-Dec) It wanted to Auto Renew my account.

Now, I had received e-mails early January about renewing my account, which, I didn't want to, so I left the e-mails go. After maybe a week or so, I no longer got them. Well, according to the guy on the phone, the prepaid card I bought was applied to Jan-March, which I never agreed to. Now, I have NO access to anything I downloaded, basically losing $40 in downloaded stuff, and, to top it off, they are refusing to reimburse or refund me.

This isn't the first time they tried to rip me off either, they did the same with my Zune, that's for another day. I'm trying to get rid of my Xbox for a PS3 now, the Xbox is perfectly fine, but my trust with MS is NOT. If there is a class action lawsuit or anything coming out of Xbox Live, I want in on it!

Microsoft, if you're reading this, you've lost a customer that trusted your products. I've already gone with an iPod, after you tried ripping me off with my Zune, and I'm not the only customer you're losing either. You need to fix your policies before you can say your support is the best. And to the guy I yelled at on the phone, don't feel bad, its not your fault, you were trying to help me the best you could, and I appreciate that, so the yelling was certainly not pointed at you.
