RCA Products arn't the same cute puppy it used to be

THOMSON-RCA compliant: RCA

1) Purchased 32 inch RCA From Wal-Mart Model #L32WD22 Serial # H16655901 on Sept. 11
2) Nov. 8th, TV. Began to turn off and wouldn't turn back on sometimes for hours.
3) Nov. 9th looked up trouble shooting on RCA's web site
Advised to check surge protector and plug surge.
4) Nov. 11th I have a license electrician check for any power surges He reported the home power systems was as good as it gets.
5) Reported defective product to RCA Nov. 12th 2008
I'm advised to send the receipt and I would be contacted in 5 business days.
6) Five days to the hour I'm told RCA will replace the in warranty product on Nov. 17th.
7) Dec. 27 I receive the shipping label and is FedEx out on the Dec 29
8) RCA receives shipment on Jan 5 12:16 PM to El Paso, TX

9) Jan.? 2009 I call for status of replacement NO idea of the status the replacement.
10) Jan? 2009 I call for status of replacement I'm told they are out of stock and have no Idea when a shipment will come in.
11) Feb. 02 I'm told they are out of stock and have no Idea when a shipment will come in.

In conclusion, RCA is owned by THOMSON INC. A French based corporation. With a falling stock. RCA is no longer the cute little puppy backed up with strong customer service and warranty plan. Now lead with the leadership of Franois de Carbonnel, Chairman, Thomson one can say the company's replacement policy's are less then acceptable.
