Rebate ripoff Fraud

After buying a computer system at my local Best Buy, one of the rebates for $140 didn't arrive. When I complained to the Best Buy Rebate Center, they told me the check had been mailed to the wrong address and cashed. When I asked why they had sent it to the wrong address they refused to answer. When I asked for a new check, they told me it could not be reinstated.

When I asked for details of where the check was cashed so I could report it as a check fraud to the police, they refused. I made countless calls to Best Buy for this information and was given the runaround every-time. I called the police in Calais, Maine where the Best Buy rebate center is supposed to be located and was told there is no Best Buy Rebate Center here, it is over the border in Canada, they are simply using a US post office box.

The police also told me they have had numerous calls of complaint about the Best Buy rebate center. Frommy dealings with the company, I strongly suspect them of fraud, possibly on a major scale. I think they need to be investigated!
