AT&T Internet Sales Dept
Phone Plan Upsell Cost $25.90 Plus Unmentioned $5 Fee

Around the end of September, I received a call from the AT&T internet sales department. They said they had internet service for only $14.99 a month for a year. I took them up on the offer. After completion of the order, the sales rep said, "I notice you are paying $23.00 a month for basic phone and caller ID. We have a new plan that would actually save you $2.00 a month. And you would get call waiting in addition to basic and caller ID." So I asked, "Is there a one-time charge to change it?" He said no.

A couple of weeks later I got a notice of the change in the mail. It states the monthly service fee will be $25.90 per month with a one-time fee of $5.00. I was outraged. I have tried to get answers from AT&T about this, to no avail. Please, everyone, watch out for AT&T. They are becoming really desperate.
