Misstated Termination Clause

As a eight year old loyal customer of sprint, i had renewed my contract every two years and duly fulfilled my payment obligations. My most recent contract ended on June 3 and i called to cancel my services on June 14. The sprint representative and her manager who i spoke to, both told me i still have to pay through my billing cycle that ends on July 10 - which meant one additional month when i am not even under a contract.

They told me each time i pay my monthly bills, i agree to Sprint's most recent terms and conditions which are subject to change at any time and need not be the same as the contract i signed 8 years ago.

What i find extremely disturbing is their policy of not prorating the bill to the date of termination request, instead charge a whole month.

When i asked them to "suspend" my line for the one month time period, they said they were still going to charge me the same amount. Most other wireless companies have a vacation time suspension option where the customer is not charged any fee.in my previous experieces with other phone companies, i was always allowed to terminate my line with prorated billing. If they claim to have a policy of not doing this, it is an outrageous policy only meant to serve their best interest and rob the innocent consumers.

Your Right To Terminate Services
You can terminate Services at any time by calling us and requesting that we deactivate all Services. You are responsible for all charges billed or incurred prior to deactivation. If Services are terminated before the end of your invoicing cycle, we won't prorate charges to the date of termination and you won't receive a credit or refund for any unused Services. Except as provided above, you must also pay us an Early Termination Fee for each line of Service that you terminate early.
