A Fraudulent company not honest in it's advertised claims buyer beware, if it sounds too good to be true, it is, in regards to this company"

I signed up for Vonage on their advertised promotional deal. Upon signing up the representatives informed me I could cancel with a full refund if I was not satisfied within thirty to sixty days minus the initial shipping charges. Needless to say I was not satisfied so in exactly thirty one days I canceled my Vonage service.

I then sent in the equipment as instructed minus the initial shipping charges and the return of equipment shipping charges. Nevertheless, regardless of the fact that I canceled the service as I was told I could without incuring any fees, my debit card was charged for a month of phone service and a disconnect fee.

When I spoke to the many customer service agents on many different occasions they stated everything from: they could not help me, their was nothing in the computer regarding my claims, I will have the money refunded within five business days, the representative from NJ who signed me up miss-informed me and I must of misunderstood the commercials. So as per customer service, I would have to pay the cancellation fee and they would refund me the month service and any other charges on my card (which might I add were a few).

Unfortunately, it is know June, I canceled my service January 8 and I have yet to get any of my money refunded and the total amount charged on my card minus the initial shipping charges of the equipment have been over two hundred dollars. Mind you this is the very short version of our Vonage nightmare.

For anyone interested in these companies services I would advise serious caution, due to the fact that since my ordeal I have been researching them and have found tons of similar negative experiences.
