XBox 360 is sub-standard and Microsoft doesn't care and continues to ship them to consumers this way!

In late Dec I bought my first XBox 360. I had heard about all the bugs with the first shipments and decided to wait and give Microsoft a chance to get through them and put out a better product. So I bought the Premium system, games, and an extra controller.

In April (four months after my purchase) I turned on my system and to my surprise I had three flashing red lights. Luckily I had bought the warranty at the store where I purchased it and was able to take it straight back to them. They graciously gave me a brand new system, no questions asked. Now it's June and I recently turned on my system, and to my surprise, I now have one flashing red light. I called Microsoft and I was told that this means that my system is not recognizing the hard drive.

This means that I am going to have to buy memory cards and save all my data on those and then take it back to the store to trade it out yet again. This will be my third system in six months! When I get it I will have spent $150 on extended warranties from the store where I purchased it.

I thought that Microsoft said they had worked out the bugs. I mean they had a press release that said this. Microsoft is giving me no recourse or other options to remedy this problem. The store where I bought it says that it's store policy that every system has to be sold a different warranty. So once again I'll be out another $50.

Bill Gates and his company do not care about their customers. They get rich while the little guys buy their products and make their pockets fatter! I am disgusted with this system but I've spent so much in games and accesories and my XBox Live membership that I'd be stupid to give up on it now. I think all of the customers who have been screwed over by this company should ban together and file a lawsuit against them.
