Told of Verbal One Year Contract and Threatened With Collections

Direct TV lied to me and told me that I signed a contract in which I agreed to keep their dish for one year. I never signed anything like that.

They also called me on the phone and said it was a verbal contract. I had nothing explained to me about their service, and now they want me to pay a bill for not keeping their service.

So now they are going to put it in a collection agency. I am on S S and did not agree to anything about paying a sum if I had it disconnected before a year of service.

They should explain it or give you a paper to read so you can understand what they are talking about. It is a total rip-off.
